Pinebase was born from frustration. Our founders ran field service businesses and couldn't find software that actually understood their needs. So they built one.
From the job site to the software world
In 2023, our CEO Alex Thompson was running a successful HVAC business. But he was spending more time wrestling with spreadsheets, juggling phone calls, and chasing down paperwork than actually serving customers.
He tried every field service management tool on the market. They were either too expensive, too complicated, or clearly built by people who had never stepped foot on a job site.
That's when he partnered with Jordan Lee, a software engineer who was equally frustrated watching his family's plumbing business struggle with the same issues.
Together, they built Pinebase—the tool they wished existed. Simple enough to use from a truck, powerful enough to run a growing business.
